We have developed an expertise in working with legal teams and management in commercial dispute resolutions.

Our knowledge and understanding of a very wide number of industries, their key performance indicators, and their respective best practices, has been acquired through 37 years of working with public companies, entrepreneurial companies, as well as subsidiaries of world class companies operating in the international arena. We have worked extensively with companies
actively involved  in the financial services and insurance sectors, technology driven companies, manufacturers and
distributors servicing both industrial and consumer customers. Consequently, we are well poised to offer a better understanding of how our client’s specific industry segment operates, and the particular challenges they face while providing appropriate financial reporting to lenders, investors and shareholders.

Our experiences include having worked with a number of issues related to misaligned shareholder vision and expectations, often leading to shareholder disputes. We have assisted companies in dealing with these more emotional types of conflict resolutions.

Having established our own independent firm, we believe that are now far less conflicted out of situations. Furthermore, we take great pride in being quite responsive to our clients’ needs, on a timely basis and being quite engaged throughout the mandate.

Our business model recognizes the particular needs expressed by many of our clients. They often tells us that they would rather be served by seasoned practitioners who actually participate actively in the file, rather than just supervising more junior personnel. Wherever possible, we will work with client personnel under our supervision. They can be tasked to assist in pulling the right information from the Company’s systems. They are also very helpful especially in the following areas: interpreting why or how transactions were recorded historically, extracting or validating information to be used as evidence or circulated to other parties.

It is important to note that for most client personnel assigned to gathering and submitting information in a litigation matter, or other form of dispute, this is not part of their day to day routines. We also note that for many assigned to these tasks, they lack experience and may have other priorities. Clients will then choose to hire an experienced project leader and benefit from their expertise, commitment and strategic vision.
